Removing Azure AD Connect With PowerShell

Now that Azure Sync has been removed from the on-premise side, it’s time to take a look at Azure and Office 365.

A quick peek in the Azure web console shows that AD Connect (and Sync) is not setup and operational. The below screenshot shows Azure as if AD Connect was never installed and running.

The final step is to remove any user accounts that are no longer needed. In particular, is the on-premise sync account that still exists in the cloud. The below screenshot from the Office 365 web portal shows a sync account that still exists. This account is the service account that was used to sync the local AD to Azure.
